Day 2: 21 Day Challenge

 Day 2:Make it or
Break it Challenge

Boom baby! We made it through day 2, y'all! How'd we do?? Did anyone run into roadblocks or curveballs?
Holidays are always the hardest for me, food wise! They are meant to be celebrated with lots of good eats & even better drinks... But part of my challenge is understanding how to enjoy my holidays without throwing my body into a sugar coma. Which I can proudly say I successfully accomplished today! Instead of burgers, chips, dip & beer, I treated my self to BBQ grilled shrimp on a HUGE crisp salad! I still got that smoky BBQ flavor we all crave on the forth, but I modified it with my goal in mind! My biggest Challenge today was refusing the D-word (DESSERT) at Sebastian's uncles house! Strawberry short cake, another one of my faves! I quickly dodged the offer and headed straight for the juicy fruit bowl! I sucked down a whole cup of sweet pineapple and enjoyed the satisfaction of saying no to junk and keeping my goal at the front of my mind!

We were so busy all day, running around town seeing all of the family, I really had no time to graze at each gathering! This worked out well because I ended my day with almost 200cals to spare! And since I got my workout in early this morning, the only thing I have to do tonight is relax & blog! Loving life.

I hope your day was as successful as mine. Please share & subscribe to my email list (enter email @ top right coner). I will attach special downloads for new subscribers to assist you in your 21 Day Challenge!

Thank you for reading.
Good night.

Ps- Having trouble combatting those evil cravings? Read this, these tips have been my secret weapon.

Day 1: Make it or Break it Challenge

Day 1: Make it or Break it Challenge

How'd today go? Do you feel motivated, powerful, & inspired? Day one can be the hardest and the easiest. You've made your first step towards a major accomplishment so you are usually very pumped and ready to conquer all on the first day! You'll find that there are very few road blocks on day one because you may have been avoiding them. This is great, but it's not real life.

To stick to my goal, I have been avoiding eating out and even looking at sweet treats, so that I am not even tempted to cheat myself. Well, that was all fine until my boss brought the office cupcakes, my absolute fave! Thank goodness I was pumped about our new program and it being ONLY day one I was able to talk myself out of those sweet little gut busters! If you don't feel that motivation on day one it's going to be a serious challenge to get through the other 20 days. I hope and want all of you to be in this 100%. Breaking or making a habit is not easy, if it was then there would be no point to our challenge!

We all must anticipate roadblocks, We must anticipate negitive people, and We must anticipate a slip in our will power. Expecting the unexpected will give you the best fighting chance to over come all obstacles and to stay true to you goals!

What road blocks did you run into today?

I hope you have all had a great Day 1. And If not, make it happen tomorrow! We got this!

If you haven't already, subscribe to my blog via email and I will be sending out motivational emails! I promise to do my best to inspire you all to strive for your best self! I hope you enjoy this fun challenge!

  Good luck, see you tomorrow!

(Below is a live journal I will keep of my personal progress. It takes two minutes
to write and is just a brief recap of my day to help remind me what I am trying to accomplish.)

Jana's Day 1 Journal:
Goal: Track my daily caloric intake. Keep my daily calories under 1200. Engage in some sort of physical activity.

Accomplished: I completely tracked my daily calories via My Fit Pal, and successfully stayed under 1200 calories. I ended the day with 1995cal. I also finished day 2 of insanity, burning almost 600 calories.

Challenges to overcome: keep talking myself through temptations. Today, it helped to stop and think before I made any decisions that I would regret.

Starting weight: 167lbs.

21 Day Make it or Break it Challenge

  Twenty-One Days to
Build a Habit

Let's do this! Like most amazing women, I am on a never ending journey to make myself just a little more fabulous. Whether its changing up the hair, trying out the latest trends or following a different workout regamine, we're going to try anything that promises us a one way ticket to fabTOWN!

As you all know, I have tried every diet plan, workout regamine, and supplement product that can possibly be offered, and I've had great success with many of them! The problem is not necessarily the plan or product; it's MY inability to stick with it! I have a bad habit of getting in good with a program for about 2 weeks max and then skip one day that turns into two and then into three, and before you know it I'm right back to my old habits.

I'm pretty sure we're all guilty of this in one way or another. That is why I am challenging ALL of us to a 21 Day MAKE IT OR BREAK IT CHALLENGE! It can be any habit you want to make or break! Here's how to get started:

1. Write it down, clearly! Word for word write down the exact habit you want to build so there is no confusion or grey area for you to cheat yourself! Me: I will workout (some sort of physical activity) everyday and keep a 1200cal/day food diary via myFITpal.
2. Make a chart, checklist, or a calendar so that you can keep track of your progress & set reminders to keep you on track! Me: Since my goal is fitness related I made a calander for my pantry and I have a reminder every day on my phone!
3. Be proud of your progress, but DO NOT "reward" yourself until you have completed ALL 21 days. Establish a reward for your victory for day 22, but keep it within reason! Me: I am trying to stay away from using food as a reward, so my reward will be a cute shirt from wherever I want, something fabulous that will show off my progress!
4. Once, we have completed the 21 days, it is important to maintain the progress. By the time the 21 days are over it will be a habit for you to do/not do whatever it is that you have been practicing. So just keep up the good work!  Me:As you can see with my calendar below, I am tracking myself (and the boyfriend) for 12wks or 4 sets of 21days! I want this more than anything, I've been trying to lose this last 30lbs for almost 2yrs now and Im ready to get rid of  it! Our goals Are written at the bottom and each day we can check off a star!

I will be tracking my progress for you all to see! I hope you are inspired and get started on you own 21 Day Challenge, today ! Over the next 21 days we will be challenging your will power and your ability to over come life's everyday road blocks, read this article to help prepare your "will-power" for your journey!

Keep me updated on your progress and let me know what your goals are! It always helps to have a support system! I am more than happy to send our daily inspirational emails and I'd love to hear what great things you are accomplishing!
